🥘 Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (Atta)
- 1 cup Jaggery (melted in 1/2 cup water) or Sugar
- 1/4 cup Desi Ghee (fro moyan)
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds (Saunf)
- Chopped Coconut (optional)
- Oil or Ghee for deep frying
👩🍳 Instructions

In a large bowl, mix wheat flour, ghee, cardamom powder, fennel seeds, and coconut.

Rub the ghee into the flour using your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs (Moyan).

Add the cooled jaggery syrup (or sugar water) little by little to knead a stiff dough.

Pinch small balls of dough and press them against a Thekua mould (archa) to create patterns.

Heat oil/ghee in a kadhai on medium flame.

Deep fry the Thekuas on low-medium heat until golden brown and crispy.

Cool completely before storing.
💡 Cultural Significance
Thekua is the main "Prasad" offering to the Sun God during the Chhath Puja festival. It is known for its long shelf life.
