Ramdhari Singh Dinkar

📅 1908 - 1974

Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' (1908–1974) was an Indian nationalist poet hailed as the 'Rashtrakavi' (National Poet). Born in Simaria, his powerful verses in 'Rashmirathi' and 'Kurukshetra' inspired the freedom struggle and questioned the morality of war. While he wrote primarily in Hindi, his roots in the soil of Mithila imbued his work with a fierce spirit of valor (Veer Rasa) and justice.
