🥘 Ingredients
- 500g Sponge Gourd (Nenua/Toro), peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup Chana Dal (soaked for 2 hours)
- 1 Onion (sliced)
- Cumin seeds, Green Chilies
- Turmeric, Salt
👩🍳 Instructions

Heat oil in a pan/cooker.

Temper with cumin and chilies.

Add onions and sauté.

Add soaked chana dal and spices.

Add the sliced Nenua. (Nenua releases a lot of water, so no extra water needed usually).

Cover and cook until dal is soft and veggies are tender.

A very common summer vegetable dish, valued for being cooling and easy to digest.
