Manas Bihari Verma

Manas Bihari Verma (1943–2021) was an aeronautical scientist who played a critical role in India's defence capabilities. Working closely with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, he served as the Project Director for the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) 'Tejas'. Despite his high profile, he led a simple Gandhian life in his ancestral village in Darbhanga post-retirement, dedicating himself to science education for rural children. He is a shining example of high thinking and simple living.
