🥘 Ingredients
- 1 kg Urad Dal (soaked overnight)
- Spices (Asafoetida, Black Pepper, Cumin)
- Winter Melon (Petha/Kumhra) grated (optional)

Grind the soaked dal into a fine paste.

Beat the batter until fluffy (it should float in water).

Mix in spices and grated melon.

Drop small dumplings onto a cloth sheet in strong sunlight.

Dry for 3-4 days until hard. Store in jars.
💡 Cultural Significance
Making Adauri is a community activity for women in summer. These are used throughout the year in curries with potatoes or eggplant.
