कुशाग्रे वसते रूद्रः कुशमध्ये तु केशवः ।कुशमूले वसेद् ब्रह्मा कुशान्मे देहि मेदिनी ॥कुशोऽसि कुशपुत्रोऽसि ब्रह्मणा निर्मिता पुरा ।देवपितृ हितार्थाय कुशमुत्पाट्याम्यहम् ॥
"Kushagre Vasate Rudrah Kushamadhye Tu Keshavah. Kushamule Vased Brahma Kushanme Dehi Medini..."
Meaning
Rudra resides at the tip of Kusha, Keshava in the middle, and Brahma at the root. O Earth, give me Kusha. You are Kusha, son of Kusha, created by Brahma of old. I uproot Kusha for the benefit of gods and ancestors.
