Amneshwar Nath (Sursand)

Amneshwar Nath Temple in Amana village, Sursand (Sitamarhi), is a historic center of faith believed to have been built by the Maharaja of Darbhanga after a divine dream. Legend says that Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sage Vishwamitra rested here on their way to Janakpur for the Dhanush Yajna. The temple attracts massive crowds, especially during the holy month of Shravan and on Mahashivratri.
